The boy in the striped pajamas is a phenomenal read and a piece of literature perfection. John Boyne very much outdid himself while writing this novel and it is great. Little 9 year old bruno moves to Poland from Berlin and figures he'll do some exploring beyond the bounds of his new home. When he arrives at a big fence he meets a small boy his age and they become friends, but this friendship leads to a trajic ending.

MissYaremcio Well done Kelton! I would have liked a bit more as to how we know that it is written in this POV, but otherwise well done! 5/6 4y

MissYaremcio Kelton! Good job! I would have loved a better description of the themes as I don't believe that the theme would be fictional characters and mysteries as those are elements - remember that themes are broad overarching ideas. I would have also liked a bit of a clearer summary, but that comes with practice! 3.5/6 4y
